Northcott House is a unique, detached single level property occupying an isolated but far from remote position on a cliff top above the mouth of an estuary on the North Cornwall coast. Below the House and a 2 minute walk is a long beach with rock pools and caves .It makes a great house for combined family holidays and has been furnished in a welcoming and individual style.

The Location
Northcott House stands on its own, out of sight from neighbours at the end on a No Through road, close to the hamlet of Poughhill. It lies 2 miles north of the genteel family resort of Bude on the Cornwall/Devon border. Bude is a 4 minute drive or a 30 minute cliff top stroll.. The Town has a great choice of ‘hip’ surf shops, cafés, restaurants and bars.
The History
Northcott House is Victorian residence built of weather board construction as a holiday home in the 1890’s . During the second World War it was used as a convalescent home. The interior was refurbished 4 years ago and many of its original features have been retained, including the wooden floor boards, doors, panelling and fireplaces.

The Grounds
Northcott House is surrounded by a large lawn which is fenced at the cliff edge. Parents of younger children should note that on the other side of the fence the drop from the cliff to Northcott is 100’ and could be dangerous. There is ample parking for up to 8 cars.

Restrictions
- Minimum stay is 7 nights, Saturday/Saturday between 5th July and 6th September 2008
